Brief/Background
The client wanted a one-to-two minute video to play at a quarterly meeting. The brief was very loose, just that it should be upbeat and include business achievements. There was no budget for additional filming, so we could only use footage that already existed. The timescale was very tight; we had just a few days to come up with the storyboard and complete the project.
Our approach and treatment
We pitched it as a highlights-type video, but with no timeline. This meant we would be able to use any available material, as long as it was an achievement. We researched the available material and came up with a storyboard which divided the video into four sections. Existing video material was used, as well as website graphics which we animated to keep a sense of movement. We tied the whole thing together with a strong soundbed and department branding.
